how do neurotoxins work?

Neurotoxins work by temporarily blocking the neurotransmitter responsible for sending signals between nerve cells that initiate muscle contraction. 


By injecting a neurotoxin into specific muscle areas (forehead, brows, etc..)it prevents the muscles from moving and can eliminate or improve the fine lines and wrinkles associated with that muscle movement.

how soon will I see results and how long will they last?

Most patients will start to notice an improvement within the first week with peak benefits arriving after 2 weeks.

Every patient is different, as are their goals. The amount of neurotoxin needed will be dependent on the severity of wrinkles and lines, and the areas needing to be treated. When you meet with us, we will provide an overall assessment and then be able to explain the best treatment options.

Pre and Post Treatment

What to expect before and after your Neurotoxin Treatment.


Prior to your appointment, you'll want to avoid aspirin, Ibuprofen, and similar products, as well as alcohol and coffee. Any combination of these can cause more bleeding and bruising in the treated area.


After your appointment, avoid exercise for 48 hours and avoid sleeping on your face. All these tips will help your treatment be optimized for the best experience and results.
